But that is just part of the story. In 1970s Dublin huge controversy arose when excavations at Wood Quay unearthed significant Viking treasures. This resulted in the people of Dublin taking to the streets to protect their Viking heritage. Listen to the opposing arguments as we relive the controversy.

Our tour of Rebellion signifies and tells the story of a centuries-old struggle. We set the scene by recounting some of the ingredients that led to the penultimate, or perhaps the precursor to the penultimate battle. We visit some of the iconic monuments and learn about some of the protagonists that make up the story of Ireland’s fight for independence. But we also bring a sense of cheerfulness to proceedings by remembering some of the characters that make up the narrative of Baile Atha Cliath or Dublin.

Tour Prices

Kids under the age of 10 can participate in the tour free of charge, under the supervision of an adult with a valid ticket.

Regular group tours: A walk through Dublin City in the company of a native Dubliner with the emphasis on History, culture and the great Irish ability to tell a story and to sing a song. 2 hours approx., with a short break in-between.

Adult: €15 per person
Student/OAP: €10 per person
Family (2 Adults + 2 Kids): €25

Please note: That our new Churches and Cathedrals tour, which includes the entry cost to St.Patrick's Cathedral is reflected in the price; a full 2 hour plus tour culminating with an internal tour of the world famous Cathedral inclusive.

Private group tours: We can also arrange a half-day private tour for a maximum of twelve people. This incorporates a collection of parts of our three Tours combined. Tour duration 4-5 hours approx. A break for refreshments in between. Prices are as follows:

Group of 2: €50 per person
Group of 3: €30 per person
Group of 4 or more: €25 per person

Refreshments: € 10 approx. (This is an extra). Please contact us for details.

What Happens After Booking

Once you successfully book your place, you will receive an email confirmation. Please present the booking confirmation to your tour guide at the meeting point before it commences. If you have time limitations or special interests, please give us notice, and we will always try to accommodate you.
