Dublin Delight Walking Tour

The Experience

Dublin is not bereft of interesting architecture. Not only do we introduce you to some of our grand buildings with their fascinating history but we also introduce you to some of the colourful characters that have made Dublin famous. Eccentricity goes hand in hand with poetry and pleasure in the city by the Liffey. As if that wasn’t enough we will also wet your taste buds with a recital or three from one of our famous word smiths in the pleasant atmosphere of the most atmospheric pub in Dublin. We might even have time for a spot of seanchai for good measure.

And if you want to sample what Dublin has to offer in terms of cuisine, we think we can tempt you with something really vintage as well. My name is Antoin. I am a professional Tour Guide, Storyteller, Bard and Soloist. Suffice it to say I don’t cook, that’s best left to the experts but I do have a sense of humour. But think of it lads; two towers of tradition side by side in the great city by the Liffey. A Vintage Irish pairing if ever there was one. Why didn’t I think of that!

See you in Dublin

"I had the opportunity to do the Churches and Cathedrals tour. The journey had something special because the guide was passionate about Irish culture and language. It was fascinating to hear stories and facts about Dublin and see the beautiful churches that make the city a rich culture. I highly recommend this Tailteann Tours for the excellent customer service."

"We enjoyed spending part of our day with Antoin. Due to some scheduling issues, he was gracious enough to rearrange his schedule for our tour, which we really appreciated. He is very knowledgeable about the city, was punctual and very accommodating. He even offered to extend our tour to cover extra areas."

"We're sorry to be leaving the lovely Emerald Isle after our amazing week. Before we boarded we enjoyed a guided tour from Antoin at Tailteann Irish Tours around Dublin, we even found the pub where it all began for the Dubliners"

A Pint of Plain Vintage

Dublin is delicious depending on your palate
Its traditional fare or even way fare is better than a salad.
Not content with its history it proclaims its fame
It pours forth from the froth of its friendliness
A true Dub knows its name.

From the Liffey as it languishes its tidal waves uncertain?
The welcoming mat for an idle chat don’t forget to pull the curtains.
A Vintage lunch in the Kitchen is Irish in its essence
A menu of unquantifiable pleasure I pause to count my blessings.

A pint in Mulligan’s to savour the taste that Dublin is renowned for
A Pint of Plain doesn’t taste the same in such far flung places as Gibraltar.
But as the cost of leather sours and my tired feet succumb from touring,
I soak up the scent and reflect on money well spent,
With a seat at the counter of contentment.

(Taim ag fanacht air inspioraid- I am waiting for inspiration.)
